Privacy Policy
Effective May 10, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Obeyra ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects information about you when you visit obeyra.com, sign up for our waitlist, or use the Obeyra service (collectively, the "Service"). By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.
Plain-English summary: We collect the minimum information needed to run the Service. We never sell your data. We don't use your private content to train public AI models. You can delete your account and your data at any time by emailing hello@obeyra.com.
1. Information we collect
From you, directly
- Account & contact information. Email address, name, phone number (if provided), and any profile details you give us at signup or in the dashboard.
- Payment information. Billing details handled by our payment processor (Stripe). We never see or store your full card number.
- Communications. Messages you send us via email or chat support.
From your use of the Service
- Voice call data. When the Service answers calls on your behalf, we process audio in real time to transcribe, understand, and respond. Recordings are not retained by default; transcripts and metadata (who called, when, how long, summary) are stored so you can review them in your dashboard.
- Connected-account content. When you authorize Obeyra to connect to your Gmail, Google Calendar, or other third-party accounts, we access only the data needed to complete the tasks you've asked the Service to perform (e.g., reading the latest email, creating a calendar event). You can revoke access at any time.
- Usage data. Standard logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited, error reports) used to keep the Service running and secure.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Service — including answering your calls, replying to email, managing your calendar, and any other task you delegate.
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, security, and product updates.
- To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, security incidents, or violations of our Terms.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not use your private content (emails, calendar, call transcripts, connected-account data) to train public AI models. The AI models we use to power the Service are operated by us or by trusted vendors under data-processing agreements that prohibit training on customer content.
3. How we share information
We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service (cloud hosting, telephony, email delivery, payment processing, error monitoring). They are contractually limited to processing data on our behalf.
- Connected accounts you authorize. When you ask the Service to send an email or book a meeting, the relevant third party (e.g., Google) receives the request from us on your behalf.
- Legal compliance. When required by valid legal process, to protect the rights, safety, and property of Obeyra, our users, or the public.
- Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, with notice to you.
We do not sell personal information.
4. Data retention
- Account information: kept while your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of cancellation.
- Voice call recordings: not retained by default. If you opt in to call recording, retention is configurable (default 30 days).
- Call transcripts & activity logs: retained for as long as your account is active so you can review history; deleted on account closure.
- Backups: may persist for up to 60 days after deletion in encrypted backups, then are purged on the regular backup-rotation schedule.
5. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Delete your account and associated data.
- Export your data in a machine-readable format.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Withdraw consent (where processing is based on consent).
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@obeyra.com from the address associated with your account. We respond within 30 days.
6. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including TLS encryption in transit, encryption at rest for sensitive fields, principle-of-least-privilege access, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; if we discover a breach affecting your data, we will notify you as required by law.
7. Cookies
We use a minimal set of cookies to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use third-party advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser, but parts of the Service will not function without them.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in jurisdictions where that is the relevant minimum age). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. International users
Obeyra is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where data-protection laws may differ from those in your country.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the "Effective" date above and notify you by email or through the Service. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
11. Contact
Questions, requests, or complaints about this Policy can be sent to hello@obeyra.com.
